German firm commissions solar plant in Rajasthan

According to reports, Independent power producer Green Infra and German company juwi India have commissioned a 15 MW solar plant Vill Bap Tehsil Phalodi, in Jodhpur district, Rajasthan.

Green Infra, incubated by IDFC Private Equity, is setting up a total of 25 MW in Phalodi, across two plants as part of its contracts signed with juwi India for 5 MW under Green Infra Solar Projects Limited and 20 MW under Green Infra Solar Farms Ltd.

The first plant under Green Infra Solar Projects has achieved full commissioning and the second under Green Infra Solar Farms has connected half of its rated capacity to the grid and commenced evacuation of power.

The balance of the combined capacity is expected to be completed within a few weeks, a statement from the company said.
