Andhra Pradesh crosses 470 MW cumulative wind capacity installation

According to reports, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of A.P., Kamlakar Babu, on Thursday said the State had a crossed a landmark with a cumulative generation of 470 MW through wind power installations in 2012.

The achievement, he said, was made possible with wind energy projects of Suzlon Group, the world’s 5’th largest and India’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, reaching 150 MW of installed capacity in the State by the end of 2012.
