According to reports, Shri Shakti Alternative Energy Ltd has won the first prize in the business plan competition at the Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFCEF) in Singapore.
The Hyderabad-based renewable energy company won accolades for solar parks in India presentation. It is in the process of setting up a 100 MW solar park in Rajasthan. It was judged as one of the most promising clean technology investment opportunities.
Aditya Srujan and Vinayak Kamath of the company emerged joint winners in a competitive field of 50 applicants, a press release said.
Shri Shakthi has signed an MoU with the Government of Rajasthan under the Rajasthan Solar Energy Policy, 2011.
“We are now working on the first 10 MW solar plant. Siemens will be the EPC partner for the plant and we will do the sub-station and transmission line. We expect to complete it September 2013, said D.V. Satya Kumar, Managing Director of the company. AFCEF is organised by ADB and Clean Technologies Initiative – Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN). CTI PFAN has been promoted by USAID and ADB.
